A1 Auto in Morgan County KY Burns
On Friday, November 8, a fire broke out at A1 Auto in Morgan County, Kentucky. Four local fire departments responded, but the yard’s main building was engulfed by the time they arrived. The building, valued at 100k, was a total loss. No injuries or loss of life have been reported. The cause of the fire is unknown. Owner Kim Radcliff had been in business for 20 years. Peacock Auto Salvage in Jones County Wins Zoning Approval for 20 acre Yard in East Macon, GA
The new yard will be on a site that was formerly occupied by Bibb Auto Salvage. The new yard will begin operations with three to five employees and be owner Robert Peacock’s second location. Kansas City, MO Clark’s Auto Linked to Stolen Cars
A report by Linda Wagner of Fox4 News accuses the owners of Clark’s of taking advantage of a Missouri law that allows yards to buy cars more than ten years old without any proof of ownership on the part of the seller. The report indicates that there have been more than 61 complaints against Clark’s by owners of cars that were stolen and purchased by the yard. According to the story, a meeting between police and Jackson County prosecutors has taken place and subpoenas are awaiting a judge’s signature. Read the full story on Fox4kc.com.
